Guide to Shopping Small in Tucson, Arizona

Here at dae, supporting small businesses is something we are passionate about. Shopping local is one of the best ways to show appreciation for our business owners right down the road. We chatted with Tuscon based photographer Emily Tartaglia, and asked her to recommend a few of her favorite Arizona small businesses.

Ursula Basinger. “She needs no introduction, but she is by far my favorite small business/maker in Tucson. My home is covered in her pottery! One of her beautiful mugs is sure to be a hit with anyone.”

Mesa is another local favorite for home goods and more. They have such a beautiful curation of unique gifts!”

“Tucson is incredibly lucky to Cultivate Tucson -- a bi-yearly market to shop local makers and small businesses during the holiday season. 2020's market looks a little different this year, but is always a must-shop for my holiday gifts!”

“When people ask me for recommendations for where to eat in Tucson, I always recommend 5 Points for breakfast/brunch. Besides the food, my favorite is their market section -- full of delicious foods, spices, drinks, skincare... the list goes on. You could create amazing gift boxes with their selections!"

“Consider supporting restaurants this year by giving your loved one a gift card to enjoy when it's safe to do so! Anello Pizza is a local favorite for delicious pizza and their dreamy dining area (perfect for a future date night).”

Whether you’re visiting Tucson or taking care of a little online shopping, check these spots out. Shopping small will never go out of style. Stay safe and happy holidaes!
