Stop the split: kick breakage to the curb

Those stubborn split ends. Sure, tearing off the breakage is a great way to pass the time during a boring meeting, but split ends are often a red flag that your hair has damage (and P.S., that picking makes it worse!).

So why do split ends happen? On every strand of hair, you’ve got protective outer layers, and when they’ve worn away, the shaft of your hair starts to break. And while split ends are inevitable, some hair behaviors you’re doing make it all the more likely that you’ll deteriorate the outer layers of your locks, including:

  • UV exposure
  • Bleaching
  • Highlights and dyes
  • Perms
  • Rubber bands/cheap hair ties
  • Chemical treatments
  • Towel drying
  • Heated products
  • Overwashing

Yes, it’s an unfortunately long list of no-nos. But never fear, we’ve picked a few products to prevent ends from splitting and get your hair healthy and back on track.

Cactus Flower Leave-In Conditioner

Say hello to your new best friend. This leave-in conditioner protects hair up to 450 degrees to prevent damage, but that’s not all! This miracle worker uses a botanical blend of cactus flower extract and moringa seed oil for a blast of vitamins, antioxidants, and fatty acids that pump your hair full of moisture, all while promoting healthy hair follicles.

Repair + Restore Bundle

Breathe life into dry, brittle, damaged hair with this trifecta. Made with superstar ingredients including jojoba and prickly pear seed oils, which repairs breakage and stimulates hair growth, these three products will give your hair a lustrous glow once again.

  • Deep Conditioning Treatment: make time for this treatment once a week. Let it sit in freshly washed hair for 5-10 minutes before rinsing to prevent breakage.
  • Monsoon Moisture Mask: work a generous amount of this mask into damp hair and let it sit for 5-10 minutes (or longer!) before rinsing with cool water. This product is designed to deeply moisturize and soften hair.
  • Prickly Pear Hair Oil: for a smooth finish on dry hair, put a pump or two on your strands. This oil will remedy dry, damaged hair in a matter of minutes.
